About New Venture

In 1998 the Ministry of Economic Affairs and consulting firm McKinsey & Company started New Venture as a business plan competition to support innovative start-ups. Since 2000 New Venture is affiliated with the Baak, Management Centrum VNO-NCW as an independent foundation.

Since then, New Venture organizes much more than just competitions. New Venture offers:

  • Manual written by McKinsey & Company: "Starting up - Achieving success with professional business planning"
  • Coaching from managers working within our partner companies
  • Critical feedback on the business plan by investors, entrepreneurs and consultants
  • Answers to specific questions about patents, marketing, production, VAT etc.
  • Seminars on feasibility, sustainability / CSR, marketing, intellectual property and finance
  • Access to a valuable and professional network
